 Cataract risk.
Many people with cataracts don’t even realize they have them, so watch for these symptoms:
1. changes in the way you see color
2. frequent changes in your eyeglass prescription
3. impaired vision at night, especially while driving, caused by effects of bright light
4. problems with glare from lamps or the sun
5. halos around lights
6. double vision
7. white spot or cloudy spot in the lens of the eye (the pupil, instead of being black appears milky or white)

 Myopia (Nearsightedness)
Nearsightedness, or myopia, is a vision problem experienced by up to about one-third of the population. Nearsighted people have difficulty reading highway signs and seeing other objects at a distance, but can see for up-close tasks such as reading or sewing. |

Images of distant objects are focused on the retina in the normal (emmetropic) eye (a),
focused in front of the retina in the myopic eye (b),
and focused behind the retina in the hyperopic eye (c). |
